- Confidence in your ability to de-escalate situations when behaviours of concern arise
- Understanding of Restrictive Practice & Incident Reporting
- Detailed understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct
- Able to assess and provide quick and responsible resolutions that are not reactive
- Effective listening skills and ability to communicate effeciently
- Prior experience supporting people living with Psychosocial Disability is highly regarded
- A Mental Health, Community Services or other Disability qualification (Cert III or higher)
- NDIS Workers Screening Card or ability to quickly acquire one
- A clean and tidy, road safe vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- The capacity to work flexible hours on a roster system, including weekends, early mornings and nights shifts
- Literacy in computers and systems and the initiative to troubleshoot when required
- A strong work ethic, a positive outlook and the ability to remain calm and professional while under pressure; and
- A caring and empathetic nature.
